Ingredients
– 125 g unsalted butter
– 250 g brown sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 190 g plain flour
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 100 g chopped pecans
– 100 g chocolate chunks
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown. This will take about 5 minutes.
3. Mix the brown sugar into the browned butter until well combined. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
4. Stir in the egg and vanilla extract, then mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until a dough forms.
5. Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chunks. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes.
