Ingredients
– 400 g firm tofu
– 60 ml soy sauce
– 30 ml vegetable oil
– 1 teaspoon sesame oil
– 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 tablespoon cornstarch
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 spring onions, chopped
– 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Method
1. Start by pressing the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess water.
2. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes after pressing.
3. Mix soy sauce, black pepper, salt, and sesame oil in a bowl. Add the tofu and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
4. Coat marinated tofu with cornstarch, ensuring each piece is well covered.
5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry tofu until golden brown, then add garlic, spring onions, and sesame seeds. Cook for another 2 minutes.
