Ingredients
– 500g ground beef
– 1 small onion, finely chopped
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup milk
– 1 egg
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 1 cup beef broth
– 1 tablespoon flour
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
Method
1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Shape this mixture into four patties.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side or until browned. Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, whisk flour into any remaining juices until smooth. Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring until well combined.
4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
5. Return the patties to the skillet, cover with the gravy, and heat everything together for an additional 5 minutes.
