Ingredients
1 cup sago
3 cups water
1 tablespoon ghee or oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 small onion, chopped
1 small potato, chopped
Salt to taste
1 green chili, slit
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Lemon wedges for serving
Method
Start by rinsing the sago thoroughly in cold water and then soak it for 30 minutes.
Boil 3 cups of water in a pot and add the soaked sago to it. Stir frequently and cook until it turns translucent.
Heat ghee or oil in a frying pan and add cumin seeds and chopped onions. Sauté until the onions are golden brown.
Mix in the chopped potato and green chili. Cook until the potato is soft.
Combine the cooked sago with the onion and potato mixture. Add salt to taste and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with lemon wedges.
