Ingredients

– 1 tbsp rose water
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1/2 cup chopped pistachios (optional)
– 1 egg yolk (for egg wash)
– 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix together the softened butter and powdered sugar until creamy.
3. Slowly add the all-purpose flour, salt, rose water, and granulated sugar. Mix until a dough forms.
4. Shape the dough into small balls, then place them on the prepared baking tray. Flatten them slightly.
5. If using, sprinkle chopped pistachios on top. Beat the egg yolk with milk and brush it over each cookie. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
