Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup icing sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dried rose petals
1/4 teaspoon rose water
1 egg yolk (optional)
Extra icing sugar for dusting

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Using a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and icing sugar until smooth.
3. Add vanilla extract, flour, cornstarch, salt, and dried rose petals. Stir well until the mixture forms a dough.
