Ingredients
– 450 g Brussels sprouts
– 3 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– ½ teaspoon salt
– ¼ teaspoon black pepper
– 120 ml balsamic vinegar
– 2 tablespoons honey
– 2 tablespoons water
– ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
– Optional: grated parmesan cheese
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Place them in a mixing bowl.
3. Drizzle olive oil over the sprouts, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss until they are well coated.
4. Spread the sprouts evenly on a baking tray. Roast in the oven for about 25 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.
5. While the sprouts are roasting, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, and water in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens slightly. Drizzle over the sprouts when they come out of the oven. Top with parmesan if desired.
