Ingredients

– 1 cup gram flour
– 4 tablespoons rice flour
– 1 teaspoon red chili powder
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– ½ teaspoon asafoetida
– ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
– Water, as needed
– Oil, for deep frying

Method

1. Combine gram flour, rice flour, red chili powder, cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder, and salt in a bowl.
2. Add melted butter and mix well.
3. Gradually pour water into the mixture to form a smooth and thick dough.
4. Heat oil in a deep pan on medium flame for frying.
5. Use a piping bag with a star nozzle to squeeze the dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and then drain on paper towels.
