Ingredients
- 2 cups of shredded corned beef
- 1 cup of sauerkraut, drained
- 1 cup of Swiss cheese, shredded
- 4 slices of rye bread
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- ½ cup of Thousand Island dressing
Method
- Start by spreading butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer the shredded corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.
- Add a generous amount of Thousand Island dressing on top of the cheese.
- Place the other two slices of bread on top, making sure the buttered side is facing out.
- Cook the sandwiches in a skillet over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
