Ingredients

Method
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add the diced onion and sauté until it becomes soft.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and chopped carrots, cooking for a few more minutes.
4. Mix in the red lentils, ground cumin, turmeric, vegetable broth, and diced tomatoes.
5. Let the soup simmer for about 25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
