Ingredients
– 1 cup red lentils
– 2 cups water
– 1 small onion, finely chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
– Oil for frying
Method
1. Rinse the lentils under cold water, then combine them with the water in a pot.
2. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat, cooking until the lentils are soft, about 15 minutes.
3. In a pan, heat a little oil and sauté the onion and garlic until they are tender.
4. Mix the cooked lentils, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, cheese, breadcrumbs, and parsley in a bowl.
5. Shape the mixture into small balls and fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
