Ingredients
1 can red kidney beans (400 g)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium tomato, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
4 slices wholemeal bread
4 slices cheese
1 tablespoon butter
Method
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Add butter, chopped onion, and cook until softened.
Stir in garlic paste, tomato, cumin, chili powder, and kidney beans. Cook for 5 minutes.
Mash the bean mixture slightly, then spread onto two slices of bread.
Top each with cheese, then cover with the remaining slices of bread and grill until golden brown.
