Ingredients
4 slices of crusty bread
125 ml of blue cheese, crumbled
150 g of prosciutto
2 ripe pears, sliced
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Mixed greens, for serving
Balsamic vinegar, for drizzling
Optional: crushed walnuts
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Lay the slices of bread on a baking tray.
2. Drizzle olive oil over the bread and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes until golden.
3. While the bread is toasting, slice the pears and set them aside.
4. Remove the toasted bread from the oven. Start layering prosciutto, pear slices, and blue cheese on each piece.
5. Drizzle honey over the top and season with salt and pepper. Optionally, sprinkle crushed walnuts for extra crunch. Serve with mixed greens and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
