Delicious Potato And Leek Gratin Recipe For Cozy Dinners

Ingredients

– 4 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
– 3 leeks, cleaned and sliced
– 2 cups of grated cheese
– 2 cups of milk
– 1 cup of cream
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
– 1 tablespoon of butter
– 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

Method

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish with butter.
2. Arrange half of the potato slices in the bottom of the dish. Layer half of the leeks over the potatoes.
3. In a bowl, combine milk, cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Pour half of this mixture over the potatoes and leeks.
4. Sprinkle one cup of cheese on top. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, leeks, and another half of the milk mixture. Finish with the rest of the cheese.
5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
