Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water (about 40°C)
- 1 packet dry yeast (about 7 g)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- Your choice of toppings (peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni)
Method
- Mix warm water, dry yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Add olive oil, flour, and salt to the mix. Stir until combined, then knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Once the dough has doubled in size, preheat the oven to 220°C. Roll the dough out onto a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the dough to a baking sheet, spread tomato sauce on top, sprinkle cheese, and add your chosen toppings. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
