Ingredients
– 500 g of pasta (penne or rotini)
– 500 g of ground beef
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 400 g of tomato sauce
– 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
– 250 g of shredded cheese
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 cup of water
– Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
3. In a large pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until soft.
4. Stir in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, water, salt, and pepper. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Combine the pasta with the meat sauce, then transfer it to a baking dish. Top with shredded cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
