Ingredients
– 250g penne pasta
– 400g Italian sausage
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 500ml pasta sauce
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 1 tsp dried basil
– 200g mozzarella cheese, shredded
– 50g parmesan cheese, grated
– Fresh parsley, for garnish
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
2. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until it is al dente, then drain.
3. In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until soft.
4. Stir in the pasta sauce, oregano, and basil. Mix well, then add the cooked pasta.
5. Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Top it with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is golden.
