Ingredients
– 500 g plain flour
– 1 packet dried yeast
– 60 ml sugar
– 250 ml warm milk
– 60 ml melted butter
– 1 egg
– 2 teaspoons cinnamon
– 100 g brown sugar
– 60 ml icing sugar
– 30 ml water
Method
1. Combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes bubbly.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and melted butter. Pour in the yeast mixture along with the egg. Mix everything until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread the brown sugar and cinnamon over the surface. Roll tightly into a log and slice it into pieces.
5. Place the rolls in a baking dish and let them rise again for 30 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes. Mix icing sugar with water for the glaze and drizzle over the rolls once they are cooled.
