Ingredients

  • 500 g gnocchi
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 50 g parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
  • Extra basil leaves for garnish (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Method

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float.
  2. While waiting for the gnocchi, mix basil, olive oil, garlic, and parmesan in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  3. Once the gnocchi are cooked, drain them and return to the pot. Stir in the basil sauce.
  4. Season the dish with salt, pepper, and add cherry tomatoes if desired. Stir well to combine.
  5. Serve immediately, topped with extra basil, and a drizzle of lemon juice if you like.
