Ingredients
– 3 cups water
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 small onion, chopped
– 1 tomato, chopped
– 2 sprigs curry leaves
– Salt, to taste
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Method
1. Boil 3 cups of water in a pot.
2. Add black pepper and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
3. In a pan, heat ghee or oil, then add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
4. Once they splutter, mix in the chopped onion and tomato along with the curry leaves.
5. Season with salt and stir. Pour this mixture into the boiled water and add lemon juice before serving.
