Ingredients
– 400 g penne pasta
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 1 small onion, chopped
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 400 g crushed tomatoes
– 100 ml vodka
– 200 ml heavy cream
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– Salt, to taste
– Fresh basil, for garnish
Method
1. Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes soft.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and vodka. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
5. Add the heavy cream and oregano. Mix well and season with salt. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and garnish with fresh basil.
