Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until combined. Stir in chopped pecans.
5. Roll the dough into small balls. Place them on the lined baking tray and bake for about 12-15 minutes. After baking, dust the cookies with powdered sugar while they are still warm.
