Ingredients
1 sheet of puff pastry
3 ripe pears, sliced
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon flour
A pinch of salt
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Spread the puff pastry on the prepared sheet and leave a 3 cm border around the edges.
3. Combine the sliced pears, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Mix until the pears are well coated.
4. Place the pear mixture in the center of the pastry. Fold the edges over the filling, pleating as you go to make a nice border.
5. Brush the edges with the beaten egg, sprinkle the flour on top, then add the small butter pieces evenly over the pears. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
