Delicious Palak Tambuli: Udupi-Style Spinach Tambli Recipe

Ingredients

– 200 g fresh spinach
– 1 cup water
– 1 cup yogurt
– 1 tablespoon grated coconut
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 green chili
– 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 8-10 curry leaves
– Salt to taste

Method

1. Begin by washing the spinach thoroughly. Then, chop it coarsely.
2. Place the spinach in a pot with water and cook it until tender.
3. After cooking, allow it to cool for a few minutes. Blend the spinach with yogurt, coconut, cumin seeds, and green chili until smooth.
4. Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Fry until the seeds start to pop.
5. Pour the spinach mixture into the pan, stir well, and season with salt. Heat it slightly before serving.
