Delicious North Indian Chawli Ki Sabzi: Long & Black-Eyed Beans

Ingredients

– 200 g long beans, chopped
– 200 g black-eyed beans, soaked overnight
– 1 tablespoon oil
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 2 green chilies, chopped
– 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon coriander powder
– Salt, to taste

Method

1. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle for a few seconds.
3. Stir in the chopped onion and green chilies. Cook until the onion turns golden.
4. Mix in the ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a minute.
5. Add the chopped long beans and soaked black-eyed beans. Stir well. Cover and cook until tender, about 10-12 minutes.
