Ingredients
1 cup semolina
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup warm water
Oil, for deep frying
Method
1. Combine semolina, all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl.
2. Gradually add warm water to the dry mixture, stirring until it forms a soft dough.
3. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
4. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each one out into a round shape, about 3 inches in diameter.
5. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry each round until golden and puffed up.
