Ingredients
– 1 sheet of puff pastry
– 250 g mushrooms, chopped
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 small onion, finely chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 100 ml cream
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– Salt to taste
– Pepper to taste
– 1 egg, beaten
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut circles, using a cookie cutter or glass.
3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the onions and garlic until soft.
4. Add the mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until mushrooms release their juice. Stir in the cream and simmer.
5. Place the mushroom mixture in the center of half the pastry circles. Brush edges with beaten egg, top with another pastry circle, and seal. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
