Ingredients
– 1 cup sugar
– 4 cups milk
– 1/2 cup corn starch
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 tablespoon rose water
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup crushed nuts (like pistachios or almonds)
– 2 tablespoons water (for the nuts)
– Ground cinnamon (to sprinkle on top)
– Optional: fresh fruit for serving
Method
1. Combine the corn starch, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Stir well to mix everything together.
2. Slowly add the milk into the saucepan while whisking continuously. Place the pan on medium heat.
3. Keep stirring the mixture until it thickens, which may take around 6-8 minutes. Then remove it from the heat.
4. Mix in the rose water and vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into serving bowls. Let it cool down before refrigerating for a few hours.
5. Before serving, sprinkle crushed nuts on top and add a dash of cinnamon. Fresh fruit can be added if desired.
