Mochiko Dango Recipe – Sweet Japanese Dumplings
Ingredients
1 cup glutinous rice flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup sweet red bean paste
Food coloring (optional)
Method
Combine the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and water in a bowl.
Mix everything until you have a smooth dough.
Divide the dough into small balls, about 1 inch wide.
Flatten each ball and place a bit of red bean paste in the center.
Shape the dough around the paste and roll it into a ball again.
