Ingredients
– 1 cup mixed dal (lentils)
– 2 cups water
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 green chili, chopped
– 1 small onion, finely chopped
– 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
– 2 tablespoons rice flour
– 2 tablespoons oil (for cooking)
– Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Method
1. Rinse the mixed dal in cold water until the water runs clear.
2. Soak the lentils in water for about 4 hours or overnight.
3. Drain the dal and blend it with 2 cups of water until smooth. Add salt, cumin seeds, green chili, onion, ginger, and rice flour. Mix well.
4. Heat a non-stick pan and brush it with a little oil. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin circle.
5. Cook until both sides are golden brown. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
