Ingredients

– 1.5 kg beef chuck roast
– 1 packet ranch dressing mix
– 1 packet onion soup mix
– 10-15 pepperoncini peppers
– 125 ml unsalted butter
– 500 ml beef broth
– Fresh ground black pepper to taste
– Salt to taste
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 2-3 cups vegetables (like carrots and potatoes)

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Sear the beef for about 3 minutes on each side until browned.
3. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and onion soup mix over the beef. Add pepperoncini peppers, the butter, and pour in beef broth.
4. Add salt and pepper according to your taste. If desired, toss in vegetables around the meat.
5. Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the oven. Roast for 4 hours until the meat is tender.
