Ingredients
– 500 g beef chuck, cut into bite-sized pieces
– 1 cup onions, chopped
– 2 cups carrots, sliced
– 2 cups potatoes, diced
– 1 cup beef broth
– 250 ml canned diced tomatoes
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the beef and brown it on all sides.
2. Stir in the onions and cook until they become soft.
3. Add the carrots, potatoes, broth, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 2 hours.
5. Once the meat is tender and the vegetables are cooked, serve the stew warm.
