Ingredients
– 2 cups whole wheat flour
– 1 cup fresh fenugreek leaves, chopped
– 1/2 cup water
– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 2 tablespoons oil (for cooking)
– 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
– 1/2 teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds, optional)
Method
1. Combine whole wheat flour, chopped fenugreek leaves, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, salt, sesame seeds, and ajwain in a large bowl.
2. Gradually add water while mixing the ingredients until a soft dough forms.
3. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and flatten each ball into a round shape using your hands or a rolling pin.
4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a little oil. Place a flattened dough round in the pan and cook until both sides are golden brown.
5. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining dough, adding more oil as needed.
