Delicious Mango Pomelo Sago With Coconut Milk Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 large mango, diced
  • 1 medium pomelo, peeled and segmented
  • ¼ cup sago pearls
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Method

  1. Start by cooking the sago pearls. Bring 1 cup of water to boil in a saucepan. Add the sago pearls and cook for about 10-12 minutes until they turn transparent.
  2. Rinse the cooked sago under cold water in a sieve. This helps to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  3. Combine coconut milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves. Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.
  4. In a serving bowl, mix mango, pomelo, and sago together. Pour the coconut milk mixture over the top.
  5. Serve chilled with ice cubes if desired. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
