Ingredients
– 450 g ground beef
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 400 g canned diced tomatoes
– 700 ml beef broth
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 teaspoon dried basil
– 200 g uncooked pasta
– 250 g ricotta cheese
– 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
Method
1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it is browned. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté until the onion becomes soft.
3. Stir in the canned tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, and basil. Bring the mixture to a boil.
4. Add the uncooked pasta to the pot. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until the pasta is cooked.
5. Serve the soup in bowls, adding a dollop of ricotta cheese and a sprinkle of mozzarella on top.
