Ingredients
– 500 g pomfret fish, cleaned and cut into pieces
– 2 tbsp oil
– 1 tsp mustard seeds
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 2 tomatoes, chopped
– 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
– 1 tsp red chili powder
– 1 tsp turmeric powder
– Salt to taste
– Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Method
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them pop.
2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste, then add the chopped tomatoes. Cook until soft.
4. Mix in the red chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Cook for a couple of minutes.
5. Add the fish pieces and cover the pan. Simmer for 10 minutes or until cooked. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
