Ingredients
- 500 g mixed fruits (like apples, berries, and cherries)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 liters water
- 1 lemon (juiced)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Method
- Start by washing the fruits well. Cut larger fruits like apples into smaller pieces.
- In a large pot, combine 2 liters of water and the sugar. Bring this mixture to a boil.
- Add the mixed fruits and lemon juice to the boiling water. Stir everything together.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes. The fruits should become soft.
- Once done, let the kompot cool before serving it chilled or at room temperature.
