Ingredients

– 2 teaspoons of mustard seeds
– 5-6 dried red chilies
– 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
– 1/4 cup of peanuts
– 2 tablespoons of curry leaves
– Salt to taste

Method

1. Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
3. Mix in the dried red chilies and peanuts. Fry until the peanuts turn golden.
4. Stir in the tamarind paste, jaggery, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook briefly until combined.
5. Add the cooked rice and combine well. Top with curry leaves before serving.
