Delicious Karnataka Menthe Tambli Recipe With Fenugreek Seeds

Ingredients

– 2 tablespoons fenugreek seeds
– 2 cups water
– 1 cup yogurt
– 1 tablespoon oil
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 green chili, chopped
– 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
– Salt, to taste
– 1/2 tablespoon jaggery, grated

Method

1. Begin by soaking the fenugreek seeds in water for about 4 hours.
2. Once soaked, drain the water and blend the seeds with yogurt until smooth.
3. Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Wait for them to pop.
4. Add chopped green chili and the blended mixture to the pan. Stir continuously for a few minutes.
5. Finally, add the mint leaves, salt, and jaggery. Mix everything well and cook for another 2 minutes.
