Karak Tea Cake with Spiced Apple Filling

Ingredients
– 200 ml milk
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 cup butter, softened
– 3 eggs
– 2 tsp baking powder
– 1 tsp ground cardamom
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 2 large apples, peeled and diced
– 1 tsp cinnamon

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a cake pan.
2. Heat milk in a small pot and add cardamom. Stir well and set aside to cool slightly.
3. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. Combine flour, baking powder, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Pour in the cooled milk and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
5. Fold in the diced apples, then pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
