Ingredients
1 kg beef brisket
2 cups beef broth
1 onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup red wine
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 150°C.
2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned.
3. Place the brisket in a baking dish. Add beef broth, onion, garlic, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper.
4. Cover the dish tightly with foil. Cook in the preheated oven for 4 hours or until tender.
5. Remove from the oven. Let the brisket rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
