Ingredients
– 800 g lamb (with bone, cut into pieces)
– 2 medium onions (thinly sliced)
– 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
– 1 cup yogurt
– 2 tbsp cooking oil
– 2-3 green chilies (slit)
– 1 tbsp coriander powder
– 1 tsp cumin powder
– 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
– Salt (to taste)
Method
1. Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they turn golden brown.
2. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for a few minutes until fragrant.
3. Add the lamb pieces to the pot. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the meat is browned on all sides.
4. Mix in the yogurt, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
5. Pour in enough water to cover the lamb. Cover the pot and simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours until the meat is tender.
