Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
500g chicken breast, diced
1 cup bell peppers, chopped
1 cup pineapple chunks
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon cornflour
1 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are browned and no longer pink inside.
2. Stir in the bell peppers and pineapple chunks. Cook for about 3 minutes until the peppers start to soften.
3. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, cornflour, and water together until smooth.
4. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan with the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
5. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
