Delicious Homemade Soft Pretzels With Cheesy Dip Recipe

Ingredients

– 500 ml warm water
– 14 g instant yeast
– 60 g brown sugar
– 1 tsp salt
– 1,100 g all-purpose flour
– 200 g baking soda
– 60 ml olive oil
– Coarse salt, for sprinkling
– 200 g cheese, for dipping
– 60 ml milk, for cheese dip

Method

1. Combine warm water, instant yeast, and brown sugar in a bowl. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes.
2. Stir in salt and gradually add flour. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
3. Grease a bowl with olive oil. Place the dough inside and cover it. Let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
4. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Boil water in a large pot and add baking soda. Shape the risen dough into pretzels, then dip each in the boiling water for 30 seconds.
5. Place pretzels on a baking tray, sprinkle with coarse salt, and bake for 15 minutes. For the cheese dip, heat cheese and milk until melted, then serve with pretzels.
