Ingredients
- 1 can (400 g) of crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
Method
1. Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes along with oregano, basil, sugar, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
4. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Allow the sauce to cool slightly before using it on your homemade pizza.
