Ingredients
- 2 cups of fresh orange juice
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of orange zest
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Method
1. Start by combining the sugar and water in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar fully dissolves, then remove from heat and let it cool.
2. Pour the fresh orange juice, lemon juice, and orange zest into the cooled sugar mixture. Mix well.
3. Carefully add the whole milk and vanilla extract to the mixture. Stir until everything is nicely combined.
4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the machine’s instructions until it reaches a creamy consistency.
5. Transfer the sherbet to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
