Ingredients

– 250 g fresh cranberries
– 200 g sugar
– 240 ml water
– 1 orange (juiced and zested)
– 1 cinnamon stick
– 1/4 tsp salt

Method

1. Rinse the cranberries under cold water and remove any bad ones.
2. In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar; stir until the sugar dissolves.
3. Add the cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon stick, and salt to the saucepan.
4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
5. Remove from heat and let it cool. The sauce will thicken more as it cools.
