Ingredients
– 500g all-purpose flour
– 50g sugar
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 10g instant yeast
– 250ml milk, warm
– 60g butter, melted
– 1 egg
– 100g brown sugar
– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
– 120g cream cheese
Method
1. Start by mixing the warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast in a bowl. Let this sit for about 5 minutes until it bubbles.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, melted butter, and the egg with the yeast mixture. Mix everything until it forms a dough.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl and cover. Allow it to rise for an hour, or until it doubles in size.
4. Roll the dough out into a rectangle. Spread brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on top, and then roll it up tightly. Slice the roll into even pieces.
5. Place the slices in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for 30 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes, or until golden.
