Ingredients
– 2 cups whole wheat flour
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup warm water (around 40°C)
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 packet instant yeast
– 1/2 cup rolled oats
– 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
– 1/4 cup flaxseeds
Method
1. Mix the warm water, sugar, and instant yeast in a bowl. Let this sit for about 10 minutes until it bubbles.
2. Combine whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, oats, sunflower seeds, and flaxseeds in a larger bowl. Pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
3. Stir until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise for an hour in a warm spot until it doubles in size.
5. Shape the dough into small rolls and place them on a baking tray. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden.
