Delicious Grilled Halloumi On Sourdough Toast With Hummus

Ingredients

1. 200 g halloumi cheese
2. 4 slices of sourdough bread
3. 1 red bell pepper
4. 2 tablespoons olive oil
5. 1 cup hummus
6. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
7. Fresh parsley for garnish
8. Salt, to taste
9. Pepper, to taste

Method

1. Begin by preheating a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
2. Slice the halloumi cheese into thick pieces.
3. Cut the red bell pepper into strips and toss them in olive oil, salt, and pepper.
4. Place the halloumi and bell pepper on the grill. Cook them for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they have nice grill marks.
5. Toast the sourdough slices on the grill for a couple of minutes until golden brown, then spread hummus on each slice and top with grilled halloumi and peppers. Garnish with parsley and drizzle with lemon juice.
